Sixer fantasy app · squad building, captain picks and live points

The desk reads the Sixer fantasy cricket app as a reader would. The app is operated by the partner fantasy platform; Sixer is the editorial reading layer.

What the Sixer fantasy app is

The Sixer fantasy app is the partner operator's official application for paid fantasy cricket contests. It is published on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store and is the only channel the operator recognises for paid entries. The app publishes squad selection, captain picks, points tables, contest leaderboards, wallet management and withdrawal requests.

How the app works

You open the app, verify your mobile number with OTP, complete PAN-based KYC and add money to your wallet. The app publishes a player pool for every upcoming match; you build a squad of 11 within a ₹ 100 lakh salary cap, picking 1 to 4 wicket-keepers, 3 to 6 batters, 1 to 4 all-rounders and 3 to 6 bowlers. You pick a captain (2.0x fantasy points) and a vice-captain (1.5x). You lock your team before the toss. The app then publishes the live points feed as the match unfolds and settles the contest within hours of the result.

Why the desk uses the app

The app's contest countdown timer, live points feed and partial-wallet blocking all run inside the app session. Browser-based fantasy dashboards are useful for squad building but the app is required to lock and pay a contest. The desk uses the app on matchday because the session survives the contest countdown timer without re-authentication.

What the app does well

The app's squad builder is the cleanest part. Role filters (wicket-keeper, batter, all-rounder, bowler) are persistent at the top of the screen. The captain pick uses a green ring with the 2.0x multiplier printed inside, and the vice-captain uses a yellow ring with 1.5x. The points table matches the published BCCI and ICC scoring rules in 49 of 52 cells the desk has cross-checked. The live points feed refreshes every 30 seconds during play.

Matchday checklist

  • Open the app 30 minutes before the toss.
  • Read the desk's squad primer for the match.
  • Build your squad within the salary cap.
  • Pick captain and vice-captain based on the desk's ledger.
  • Lock your team 15 minutes before the toss.
  • Watch the live points feed as the match unfolds.
  • Read the contest settlement within 4 hours of the result.

Common mistakes

The desk's most common matchday mistakes: locking the team after the toss (the app will not let you edit), picking a captain who costs more than 14 percent of the squad salary, picking a vice-captain who is in the same role as the captain (your fantasy points are concentrated in one role). The desk recommends you spread your squad across at least three roles.

Read the desk's review for the editor's verdict, the points system for the full scoring table, the how-to-play guide for beginner rules and the wallet & KYC page for verification steps.
